WE BELIEVE…

We believe that the care of your child is the most important consideration when working outside the home.

We believe that you should feel confident at the ease and confident about the place your child spends their day.

We believe that it is our responsibility to provide a safe and balanced environment for our children and families.

We believe that our program, staff, environment, and daily routine can positively influence your child’s future.

We believe Evergreen must strive to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each individual child in a caring and supportive atmosphere.

Our Philosophy

Children are, by nature, infinitely curious.  At Evergreen, it is our mission to encourage children to explore, discover, and learn.  The curriculum provided at Evergreen will nurture and give your child the opportunity to be hands-on, and foster organic problem-solving skills that will allow them to be fully engaged in their environment.

Our educators are filled with enthusiasm and passion about their roles which will extend into the wellbeing of each child they interact with.  They are committed to helping each child reach their full potential both socially and emotionally.

We know that the formula for success at Evergreen is confidence, fulfillment, and engagement.  We are committed to providing the tools and resources to foster all three of these traits in your child.

Our Mission

To nurture the developmental needs of each child in a positive environment, focusing on creativity, education, and self-confidence through our shared faith in God.

Our curriculum is designed to promote both learning and imagination with equal parts imagination and enthusiasm. It’s our goal to provide children with tools that will spark both questions and solutions. We don’t just lead our students. We’re led by them, as well.

FAITH-BASED CURRICULUM

Our mission is to teach children about the character of God, how He cares for them, and how He asks us to live and display His light.

  • We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God.

  • We believe that there is only one true God. God is eternal and existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe we have all sinned and need Jesus for eternal life.

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, as our helper to live a life pleasing to God.

  • We believe God invites all people, young and old, to know him and have a personal relationship with Him.

What is Spanish Immersion?

Our Spanish Immersion program integrates Spanish into the everyday curriculum. No prior exposure to Spanish is necessary. It is designed for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students to develop communication and literacy skills in both languages. The earlier children are introduced to a language, the greater the likelihood they will become truly proficient in it. Children’s brains are naturally programmed to learn any language they are sufficiently exposed to perfectly and without accents.  According to research, this ability declines with age, disappearing by high school.  Determining exactly how the program should be structured depends, in part, upon the percentage of students from each language group. Schools with half Spanish speakers and half English speakers can implement two-way immersion. If the student body is predominantly English-speaking, one-way immersion is the best model.

Our Program Goals

Enrich Your Child’s Life At Evergreen

Enrichment is a term often spoken about in educational facilities but rarely practiced. At Evergreen, we don’t just see ourselves as early childhood teachers but also as individuals responsible for shaping and growing a child in all areas. Our primary goal is to nourish, enrich, cultivate and strengthen the potential of our students.  To provide an educational experience that is unique and individually focused. As we often say, it’s the children who teach us more than we can hope to teach them.

Our Goals As A Learning Center:

  • To provide caring and flexible learning centers to families throughout Texas

  • To foster open dialogue between our staff, children and parents

  • To promote self-esteem, growth, independence, and individuality in all children

  • To encourage creativity in a safe and nurturing environment

  • Our Goals For Children:

  • To foster a positive identity based on self-understanding, compassion, and tolerance

  • To promote social and emotional well-being

  • To encourage literacy and language development

  • To encourage physical development and coordination

  • To encourage positive creative expression

  • To encourage children to think, reason, question, and experiment in a creative and supporting atmosphere

Our Classroom Organization

Our classrooms are Montessori-inspired. Our classrooms encourage collaboration and not competition. Children work at their own level, so the focus is on their own improvement instead of trying to keep up with other classmates. We believe that we learn best through hands-on learning. Our classrooms are organized in five key areas of learning: practical life, language, sensory, mathematics, and culture.

Our Nurturing Schedules

Teachers need to provide a delicate balance between structure, freedom, and security. The general schedule that our teachers follow helps monitor, guide, and create insight.  Flexibility allows for child-led ideas and initiatives to cater specifically to their developmental needs.
